Happy Mother's Day a little early to my wonderful mother who passed away 18 years ago. This picture was taken with my mom when I was 5 months pregnant with my 4th child, Rob. My mom was truly an amazing woman. I think she was way ahead of her time. She was strong and independent. She ran a household, held down a job, raised 4 kids and found the time to cook, sew and be a room mother for all four of her kids every year we were in elementary school. Honestly, she made every Halloween costume we ever wore. ( what mom does that?)
One of her greatest talents was that she taught herself to paint in her 40's and became one of the best artist in my hometown, Paducah, Ky.

One characteristic that I loved about my mother was that she never took no for an answer. She always found a way to get something done. She instilled within us, if there is a will there is a way.

Oh and yes she had a sense of style!!!


Even though my mom isn't here with me anymore, I still honor and love the incredible woman I knew. And everytime this holiday comes around, I always wish I had done more and pampered her more.
